Front light Sandstedt on the bank of river Weser in December 2001. Because of a short
snow shower some minutes before one of the eight red sides of the tower is now white.
(front light, works since 1981,
height of tower 17 m, height of fire 15 m,
range of light white 13 sm,
characteristic [Oc W 6s] one
occultation every six seconds, int. No.: B 1297)
This picture was made by a ballance action on a breakwater.
On this way the rear light, standing about 420 metres from here,
is visible on the right side. These pictures show very well, why this village is called
"Sand"stedt.
